HTC Touch HD in the US

Hello everyone! Back in June of 08 I stumbled a pond news about the HTC Touch Diamond and Pro, and eagerly awaited their arrival to the US. Then right before those phones were introduced, the HTC Touch HD was unveiled. So after waiting 3 - 4 months waiting for the Touch Pro, I then chose to wait for the Touch HD. Its been 3 months since the Touch HD was reveled and still no news about when its coming to the US. I really need to buy a new phone but I'm tired of waiting. Does any one have any news about when this phone will hit the US?

i am replying to you on a touch HD now, and im in the US. For what I know, this phone is not officially being released in the US. You have to get it unlocked from the internet. i have AT&T, and i havent had a problem with the phone, besides the fact thats its not 3G compatible.

I recently purchased an unlocked Touch HD from a dealer in Miami, fl. and i must say i really like it but there is one problem that i'm having. How do you make the image larger when you recieve an MMS or picture message? I have this large screen with a small image... HELP!

You can by unlocked versions online and they are GSM so they will work with T Mobile or AT$T. The reason they are not being released in the US is because they are not compatible with US 3G networks. HTC says that by the time they are reworked for US 3G , it will be time for the next generation of the phone. Online they are $ 500 plus , a boat load of money for a " first generation iPhone " No 3G calling . No 3G data speed. They are however HSDPA compatible. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
