Java ME app font size on Diamond
Nov 7 2008, 8:29 AM EST | Post edited: Nov 7 2008, 8:29 AM EST
When installing Java ME applications on the HTC Touch Diamond the font is very small, where as installing the same applications on the HTC Touch Cruise the font is normal, and as it should be compared to other brands' OS. Is there a way to change the font size, or what shall I do to increase the font size? 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes, there are ways: font=Font.getFont(Font.FACE_SYSTEM, Font.STYLE_PLAIN, Font.SIZE_LARGE);

But even if you select the largest font the HTC Diamond is barely useful when it comes to reading text in a java app. It's amazing that they put so little effort into such a device. The device does not even support bluetooth from j2me. Shame on you HTC!

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking at the different font size settings. But I'm not sure if we should blame HTC yet, as the new Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia has the same issue. To bundle a JVM with the app might do the trick, but for what price? There should be unnecessarily to pay a fee (or an extra fee) to run your app on any device... Anyone from HTC to comment this?
