where to download QuickGPS?

I have an HTC Touch Diamond (UK version, although I'm using it in the US). I upgraded the ROM to 1.93.456.2 WWE (dated 7/10/08). It doesn't have the QuickGPS application preinstalled. Is it possible to download this application? Also, I would appreciate recommendations for GPS/map software. 47  out of 50 found this valuable. Do you?

i have htc Tytn II & i have the same problem But i've tried something which might work with you
" look for QuickGPS.exe inside the windows directory as you can run the application while your device is connected to internet then u can try to download program "

I was mistaken - my Diamond does have QuickGPS. Not sure why I wasn't finding it before.

I would still appreciate advice on GPS map software. I don't want to use Google Maps because it requires a data connection. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi i'm from i have TytnII from Egypt too ,
try to find the ExE file from windows mobile directory
Or try Google maps that is coool

the Windows directory is ok to find the QuickGPS exe , but it's not working with my TytnII in Egypt
google Maps is fine ( but i'm still look for QuickGPS.cab to reinstall it 1  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

i cant update my quickgps either. Don't know why but each time I try to download it says 'failed connection' even though I can get online using gprs. I however use Igo8 for my gps program. Works a treat 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

sorry i did a hard reset and its downloading now. YAY im so happy even tho i had gps working but it was abit slow connecting to sattelites. will let u know if quickgps made any difference 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I have downloaded this file and installed it with some hard resets but when I click the Icon in Programs I receive the error:
The file QuickGPS cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found.

I have tried reinstalling but it still wont work, any ideas?? Do you find this valuable?

QuickGPS should be part of the WM6.1 ROM of all HTC phones that have built in GPS. Go to Start>Programs>Tools and QuickGPS should be there. Read the Page on this Wiki for "GPS Software" to find out what it is and why you need it. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Read the page on this Wiki "GPS Software" it tells you about QuickGPS and provides GPS info about 10 GPS programs you can buy and download the maps to your storage card so you don't need a data connection. Do you find this valuable?

I'm not familiar with that model, does it have built in GPS capability but not QuickGPS? Do you find this valuable?

yes it has an internal GPS but no it does not have QuickGPS Do you find this valuable?

idunno if you care or not but this is my device, you were just saying ur not familiar with my phone just thought id show you, its the cdma version of the HTC Touch Elf

its from telus and at first they disabled the gps but they have since came out with a ROM update that enables it (running NFSFAN 6.5 ROM anyways tho) but i am talking about the stock ROM update for my phone does not have QuickGPS Do you find this valuable?
