Unable to reply SMS on HTC Touch Diamond

I did a soft reset today after my phone hung on me. Afterwhich, I could view new and old messages but could not reply to any. I now get a blank white screen whenever I press reply. There is an error message that states "The message cannot be signed and/or encrypted".Please help!! Do you find this valuable?

Is there no other way besides a hard reset? I have done a hard reset on this phone at least 5 times since I bought the phone 2 months ago and it is getting frustrating. What actually happened? Do you find this valuable? |

I have done a hard reset on this phone at least 5 times since I bought the phone 2 months ago and it is getting frustrating.Im thinking its the only way unless u can restore from a backup. i always configure my device exactly the way i like it all the tweaks software and such then use sprite back up to make an image of it so if i ever have to hard reset its less painful. i searched all diamond forums for your error message it appears your the only one with this issue that has reported it so far. so the only troubleshooting i can offer is a hard reset. Do you find this valuable? |

Found from third party forum post stated that either uninstall CE-Star or register the s/w will help, try and see

Its correct. i was facing same problem with htc touch. uninstall CE-Star, resolved it. thanks for help.

my experience and solution:(I live in HK and use One2free as the carrier.) on the TouchFlo page, go to settings / Communications at the right hand lower connection there is 'settings', click it and choose 'Phone' at the lower side tabs, choose 'Band' Select your network type to be 'GSM' (for me, it was 'Auto') Then try to send a message, it should solve your (as it was mine) problem Do you find this valuable? |
