It boils down to how seriously you want it. There are a number of different ROMs setup by enthusiast to accomplish that goal. You personally will have to perform a few tasks first. I would suggest first register a character into the HTC wiki system, it will help others answer questions by cutting down on repeated useless posts. Next I would suggest, know your hardware. With a SIM installed Turn it off (Hold the button for a few seconds so it says it is powering off), then back on again. It will have a blue startup screen with some basic hardware information (like your PC booting and showing the bios, ram, etc.) which will be absolutely invaluable looking for a "kitchen ROM" upgrade to WM6.1. IPL 2.25.0001 SPL 2.25.0001 GSM 02.25.11 OS 2.25.11.1 These numbers identify my Cingular 8125 "Wizard" as a G4 type. Notice the IPL/SPl numbers. The ".0001" says a G4, ".001" would be a G3. The difference dictates a severe problem as in making your device useless if you follow the wrong proceedure, IE using G3 proceedure on a G4 or visaversa.
