E-mail Messaging Links/URLs
Aug 27 2008, 7:09 AM EDT Hi, I have BlackBerry Connect installed on my T-Mobile MDA Touch Plus, and whenever I attempt to 'click' a link in an email message, I always get an error box saying: "The parameter is incorrect" I've tried Googling around for this error but I can't seem to find anything that relates to this problem. I can't even work out if its a Windows Mobile messaging software error, or a BlackBerry Connect software error! If anyone can shed any light at all.... many thanks! Do you find this valuable? |

Aug 27 2008, 12:49 PM EDT "Hi,I have seen this issue when the user's handheld does not have the "Internet Brower" icon in the BlackBerry folder under Start>Programs>BlackBerry. Because the user's handheld does not have the Internet Browser in the BlackBerry folder, when the user clicks on the link, the handheld does not know what to do because it can not connect to the BlackBerry APN. Because of this, it returns the "Parameter is incorrect" error. The resolution for this issue was to have the carrier send down the user new service books, which should push down the following service books: 1) BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service [BrowserConfig] - puts the Internet Browser icon on the handheld 2) IPPP for BIBS [IPPP] - contains the routing information so that the handheld will connect to the internet using the BlackBerry APN Do you find this valuable? |
