windows moble 6.1 update

Good day everyone...I recently bought the tytn2 from a site called gsm select.com. I also recently discovered that the phone's origin is from Hong Kong. My question is when and if they are comming out with the windows mobile 6.1 version for my phone...if anyone can help me that would be great!

My question is when and if they are comming out with the windows mobile 6.1 version for my phone...if anyone can help me that would be great!"Since your device is from HongKong, you will need to register for eClub on the HTC website for Hong Kong (http://www.asia.htc.com/HTC_HKEN/member/login.aspx), once you have done that, you will have access to the correct software for your device. I don’t have a device intdended for HK to register so I can’t see if WM 6.1 has been released for it. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

no, the software isnt available yet, i just checked and my phone is originally from hong kong too. I also called HTC Support to ask them why and when it will become available, they said they are still working on the release and that whenever it is available we will get an email from e-club saying that our software is now available. but for now, we have to stick to the custom roms.

hello.....while downloading it ask abt de phone serial number and when i enter mine...it say tht this version is not suitable with ur device.....do u have any idea y ??? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

htc has not released the firmware for your tytn 2's origin country, therefore it is not available yet. i have contacted htc before about this and they said that it should come soon and that when it does, if you have signed up for e-club, you will get an email saying that the update is now available for your device.

I have asked them quite a few times and the only answer was still in process. Why dont they just release a universal version for all unbranded Tytn II?
