Wifi Very Finiky
Aug 13 2008, 3:48 PM EDT I have a HTC6800 (Bell) which has been updated the ROM (now currently running ROM version 3.49.N02.5066 and radio 3.35.04). I find that my Wifi connections are hit and miss. Most of the time it cannot find any hotspots to connect to. Whether at work, home or at a public location, it can't find any Wifi to connect to. When turned on, it looks like it's looking around then nothing. If I open up the Wifi settings, it will not list any Wifi routers that I know should be there. The wierd part is that every now and then it WILL find and connect to a wireless (both secured and unsecured). I haven't been able to track down any particular reason why. Resetting the phone, turning the Wifi radio off and on, even manually entering in Wifi connections doesn't help. Is this a bug? Do you find this valuable? |
