Micro SD Card
Aug 2 2008, 2:09 PM EDT
Does anyone know what the largest size SD card that can be used with the ATT Tilt? 1GB, 2GB, 4GB or 8GB? Or does it even make a difference? I just got a new one 2 days ago and want to buy an SD. But I want to get the largest possible. Thanks for the help, in advance.Brokenneck 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm not sure exactally if there is a limit as to how large ur sd card can be but I just upgraded from a 2GB to a 4GB sd card and I like it a lot.I think the only difference is the amount of space u have to be able to store things.Good luck.

I have an 8 GB Card in mine and it works just fine. Until they change the specification, any size card should work.

Technically speaking the max is 32 GBhowever, manufactures has only released 8 GB in mini and micro SD format for regular SD we are up to 16 GB which means the mini and micro SD format will soon be 16 as the demand for them incleases i've been trying to get 16 GB in micro or mini SD for a loooong time, so far no luck finding any. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. "Technically speaking the max is 32 GBSandisk announced they were finalizing a 12 GB micro SD at CES in Jan., they said maybe in March. So far no 12GB micro. I think 16GB is still a loooooong way off. I also think HTC pulled the 32 GB max on the Kaiser out of a hat, figuring the phone will be long passe before anyone sees a 32 GB card. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"HTC's support faq says that it will support up to 32GB microsdhc cards. "i read on XDA, that anything 6 and under will work without problems. Since i couldn't find a 6gb locally i'm with a kingston 4gb and it works just fine. i've read that people with 8gb microSD card sometimes will have program hangs, and need to soft reset. I bought an 8gb micro sdhc card (Sandisk) and it works a treat in my Kaiser (TyTN II). Haven't noticed any difference with any other application from when was using a 1gb card, just heaps more media! :-))))

I have Sandisk 8G and it worked fine from the get go. Sandisk site allows you to enter your device and then gives you compatability list.

"i just got my 32g micro sd and the tilt accepts it and see's all 32g worth..... I have about 4 full length movies in mpeg 4 format. Man this card has some storage.."I was aware that Toshiba announced a 32g SD card for sale in Japan later on in Jan ( for $700 est. ) To my knowledge there is no 16 g or 32g micro sdhc cards even announced. You wouldn' t be pulling our leg would you ? Do you find this valuable? |

"you can find 16g micro cards on ebay"Very nice ! I stand pleasantly corrected. I guess the best way to find something is to say, you have no knowledge of it's exsistence. Thanks Do you find this valuable? |
