HTC touch using bluetooth, external GPS and car hands-free
Jul 16 2008, 8:32 AM EDT
I have an HTC touch. I run Garmin GPS software with an external GPS receiver (via BT). This works fine. While in my car, I use the integrated BT hands free. Works also fine. If I activate the GPS prior to entering the car, both BT items work great. I see position on map. Can receive call. When call ends, automatically switch back to map. BUT, if I initiate a call using the hands-free, when it's done, the GPS receiver is no longer "seen" via BT by the HTC Touch. Whatever I do (turn on / off BT, tunr on / off GPS receiver, reboot the phone), it can't be seen. Only way is to turn off the car. Turn off GPS. Turn off phone. Then start phone. Start BT. Start GPS. Open map software. Restart the car. Then it's ok until I initiate another call. Not very practical.

Any hints?

Thanks
