DON'T BUY HTC PRODUCTS
Jun 28 2008, 10:59 AM EDT
I've not had any luck getting any support for my problem with the HTC Bluetooth on my 2007 Nissan. There's no place to look for solutions, no acknoledgement that the problem exits, no advise to owners of NIssan cars that there is a compatibility problem that HTC is unable to resolvle. Since HTC does not seem to want even to help people avoid problems with their procudts, muct less fix them, the thing to do is not to buy.

I wonder if HTC even cares.

Have you any idea how many BT systems there are out there? It is not feasible for any company to test them all let alone ensure compatibility. This is up to the manufacturer of the BT accessory which is why they provide a list of devices that are compatible with their BT accessories.
Sorry that yours arent compatible but they not all of them are.

I'm not talking about a mouse or keyboard; I'm talking about a car. The point of having the bluetooth on a phone is to do hands free. Also, this is not a one of kind of car, this is the Nissan line. Is Nissan so insignificant tha HTC shouldn't check to make sure that their phones don't work with them? I think not. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

So Nissan is supposed to set the Bluetooth standard for all mobile phone manufacturers around the world? My BMW stereo integrates my iPod seemlessly. Now do all owners of all other Mp3 players say Microsoft sucks, my Zune won't intgrate with my BMW. Nissan is a huge corp. and HTC is a huge corp. who is supposed to bow to who? HTC says our phones work with these vehicles, if you want to use our phones buy this vehicle. Nissan says our vehicle works with these phones, if you want to buy our vehicles then use these phones.

Apparently you have made your alliance, but who is right?

And still, nothing from HTC acknowleding that this problem exits. Would be best if HCT could work with Nissan to fix the problem (no sign of any effort on either side), would be adequate if HCT made known when there were compatibiliy problems so that people like me would not end up with a product that did not provided the function for which it was purchased. Yes, I screwed up. I had problems on day one but Sprint said that the problem was going to be fixed in the next firmware release. I think that was three releases ago. 0  out of 1 found this valuable.
