Hi. I set up an email account on my Touch Dual, and now I can't delete it? When I hold down on the folder, the delete option is greyed and non-selectable. Please help. 6  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

If this is an Exchange email account, the pop up Delete option will be greyed out. You have to Delete the parternship between your device and Activeysnc to remove Exchange accounts.

I am having the same problem but with my Windows Live account. I want to delete it since I do not use it anymore but the "delete" option is greyed.

you need to delete the messages that are sitting in that email account first before it will then allow you to go and delete the account all together - i had a pop mail account set up with two emails sitting in it and it was greyed out so i deleted those two emails and then went back to try delete and it let me! 2  out of 6 found this valuable. so how do you remove a windows live account? Also, on my touch pro, i cannot send hotmail emails from the windows messaging program. and therefore the touch flo interface (I can send hotmail emails via internet explorer and hotmail). I can, however, send gmail emails thru windows messaging and the touch flo interface. Help. Do you find this valuable?

Oh yes sorry... I was very busy...

So once you have an account in Windows Live, to remove it is simple.

Go to programs then Windows Live, on the bottom right MENU, Account options, Switch Windows Live ID, YES, and here you go, no more account, it has been removed. Then the agreement service pop up again, just do reject if you want to close.

Any feedback?

Regarding the issue with the touch pro I don't know, i don't use microsoft live anyway....

Open the email options page (Tools, then options) Touch the account name (stylus works well here) and hold it until a window pops up - "delete" will be an option - touch it. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

OK i had this issue and have finally sorted it.
Under programs go to Windows live.
Select Menu option (or account), and then select switch ID. You will get a warning about not receiving email..click OK.
You go to the next screen to accept the terms and conditions, then simply click Cancel.
Go back to your emails and you will no longer see hotmail there...
Good luck all
