delete a text dictionary entry?

Ok, when you type the word "be" the shadow gives you as the default "ne". I find this highly irritating. Is there any way to remove the "word" ne from the dictionary? I realize it is probably there as a substitute for "any" (whole one character saved...wooo). 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

the short answer is no. the long answer is start>accessories>clear storage> enter 1234, choose "yes" and start over. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Awesomepuma. I'm not sure I understand where you're going with your suggestion. Wouldn't the existing text dictionary come back as the default? More details, please. Do you find this valuable?

ne should not be the default. be is on my phone. however, it will select the word used most often as the default....so if you mistakenly select ne for be then it will use it the next time you type be. Choose be as your word a couple of times in a row and it will autoselect be until it thinks you use a different letter combination more frequently. It remembers what you do and trys to predict which combination you want. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

actually this only works in the current message. start a new message and type "be" and it defaults to "ne"

One day I will injure someone when I fling this phone in frustration.

The longer I used and misspelled words, the more misspelled words got memorized and presented to me as options when I didn't want them, when I would NEVER want them. After looking in many forums, I did a search for all files with T9 in the name, and found Device\windows\eT9MyWords.exe. I have the Touch Cruise 2 with WM6, and I don't know if this file is originally an HTC added file, or WM6, but see if you can find this file on yours as well, and if you do, you might paste a copy of the exe file in start\programs so that you can find it more easily and keep the T9 remembered words what you want them to be.

I didn't find any other "solution" including deleting files or tinkering with the registry to work at all, and I tried a lot.
