Can't Detect HTC Touch on win Vista
Jun 9 2008, 6:56 PM EDT when i connect my htc touch to my laptop which has a Vista OS my phone cannot be detected and it never shows as connecter also on windows mobile center note that i removed the checked box that is in the connection setting in my device... can anyone help me find a solution for my problem? thanks in advance... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Sep 4 2008, 1:11 AM EDT Just try it on XP preferably with SP-2,if it works thr then try with disabled vista firewall ..u need to allow few ports thr. In case it is not working on XP also..just try to use activesync via blutooth , if its work there then there may be hard ware problem (usb port) 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Yesterday, 9:57 PM EST Hi. I have the same problems.... The HTC DIamond connect perfectly on my laptop with XP, but on my desktop running Vista, it wont connect....... The devise cant be detected in device manager nor in windows media player. But when i blug it in there are no errormessages. I've tryed to reinstall device manager many times. tryed over bluetooth and the devicemanager just doesned find anything. I've disabled the firewall....rebooted the phone..... reset the phone to fabric default disabled the advanced settings on the Device and followed every tip i found on the net etc etc etc, but there's just no connection from the phone to the device manager. What can i do ??? The bluetooth software finds the phone just fine, but the device manager doesn't react to anything and i cant find active sync anywhere.... bye the way.... the first time i connected the phone and installed the software it worked, but the next morning it didn't and haven't since....
