May 8 2008, 12:45 AM EDT Currently the internal GPS is not enabled on this device. You can use an external bluetooth GPS unit though. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

May 8 2008, 1:48 PM EDT The XV6900 does have GPS, but it is locked. There is plans to release VZ Nav for the device and once released and downloaded VZ Nav app will unlock the GPS 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

May 9 2008, 9:05 PM EDT "So does this phone have GPS? Has anyone been able to enable it?"Check in on www.xda-developers.com - we Titan/VX6800/P4000 users have been enjoying the built-in GPS for months, despite the GPS-enabled radio rom only being "officially" released within the last couple months, thanks to some dedicated folks there. There may be similar hope for your phone. I was about two hours from buying an external bluetooth-connected GPS module when I found the hacked ROMs to enable the internal chip. Worth looking into before you drop the coin. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: GPS?
May 9 2008, 9:06 PM EDT BTW, it now works the other way, too - I can now connect my Titan to my laptop via Bluetooth and the laptop can make use of the Titan's GPS :) Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 15 2008, 3:54 AM EDT "Yes, but the XV6900 is the HTC Touch.. so the Titan's ROM may not work on it."Probably not... but the point is, "check in on www.xda-developers.com". There are separate forums for pretty much every HTC model, including the Touch, and I expect that if that phone HAS a GPS-capable chip, someone there has already figured out how to enable it. 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
