Unlike computers, phones are disposable products and backward compatible software is not part of their business. They want you to buy a new phone, so I doubt it. Plus I don't think that the old hardware is fast/powerful enough. However, I'm sure that someone will find a way to exract the rom and interface to use on other phones. How about it guys over at xda.

Agreed, the new TouchFLO 3D uses the 3D acceleration hardware on the Touch Diamond. If someone can extract it, and I am sure they can, there is no guarantee that it will run as smoothly. Do you find this valuable?

Just saw the new marketing videos on you tube. How do YOU go about convincing your wife that you need yet another phone.

It would be a miracle. I have seen it running on a Touch and it was incredibly slow. The hardware in the Touch cant keep up with that in the Diamond. Do you find this valuable?

Most likely we'll have the windows 6.1 upgrade and a strip down version of the diamoind interface. Probly gonna be 2d since it cant do 3d. I wouldnt mind the 2d interface. I just want a new interface that is easier than the one we have now. i'm using pocketpcm software to run my touch interface Do you find this valuable?

It is a matter of 3D acceleration only the Diamond has the hardware for that interface.
