HTC Touch sim card missing!!

Hi everyone, I have been using my HTC Touch for nearly 2 months and everythings worked fine until yesterday. It said that "sim card is missing" and i have done nothing. It worked perfectly fine the day before and i tried to put the sim card into other phone and it works too. I just tried so many times to fix it but i still can't, could anyone advise me on what i should do?

Did you soft reset your device with the SIM Inserted to see if your device see's it? How about trying another SIM in the device? 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I have a similar problem. My touch cannot find my cell network, just says searching. I have tried selecting networks in manual settings and a hard reset but no good. Can anyone help.

My HTC touch has worked flawlessly (except for minor known issues) for just over a year now on the Rogers network. But starting about 1 month ago, I am losing the network. When I attempt to make a call, the phone tells me that there is a problem with the SIM card. I cannot recall if it is 'SIM card is missing' or it states 'Bad SIM card'. I will make note of it the next time it happens (about 2x a week - latest was this morning). The [temporary] fix is power cycling the phone. Do you find this valuable? |
