RE: Activesync problem
May 23 2008, 7:56 PM EDT hello, I spent lots of time trying to synchronize my HTC Touch with my PC (XP-SP2) with activesync: the HTC was recognized (ok to browse the phone HDD in winExplorer ) but the activeSync program freezed after the connection was set ( message "Récupération des paramètres", in french : should be something like "Retrieving parameters" I think in EN version) . I've read all possible forums , found nothing that could help me ... so ... I tried the "big random last solution": trying to change all parameters in the phone system, before I make it burn in hell: and found one option that solved the issue : in Configuration->Connections->USB-to-PC menu : I disabled the option "enable advanced network feature". Doing this: the HTC automatically re-connected to the PC, ActiveSync recognized it and I could synchronize everything. I don't really understand why this worked doing this, but ... it worked :) /Matthieu 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Activesync problem
Jul 22 2008, 6:16 AM EDT When you turn off the advanced network connection, it solves almost all problems because, the advanced connection option lets you setup a network connection with the phone, the problem being that a lot of people's firewalls will block this. when you untick this option the computer just sees it as a straight through usb connection. So no firewall issues. This wil resolve most activesync problems. Do you find this valuable? |
