Anyone else having power connector problems?
Mar 28 2008, 9:30 PM EDT
I'm having a real problem with the USB/Power connector on my Touch Dual. I have to get the power cord positioned "just right" or the phone won't charge. I have multiple power adapters and they all exhibit the same problem, so it's got to be the socket on the phone. Is it a common problem or have I just got a flaky phone? 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I thought the same thing but realized I just needed to push harder to connect it. It should "snap" into place when inserted correctly. Do you find this valuable?

I did have the same problem.
For some time it would do this... not charge when connected to either the computer of the electric plug.

Also, when I connect it to my computer via USB, it sometimes won't connect, and I'll get a "Power Surge error on USB hub" error in windows....and the data cable gets really hot. Pretty weird

I have the HTC Touch device and have to play with the connector almost every other time I need to synch my Outlook data on my computer with my cell phone. The cable or slot is a bit sensitive that way. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I have only noticed that with my car adapters. I have gone through two of them, and they both exhibit the behaviour.
