Found this over at xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334759&page=13 go to post #123 find PTT Fix $ Tilt .zip. It is a zip that contains all the registry tweaks, for those who are afraid to mess with their registry. Put it on my Tilt assigned the button to voice dial. Pull out my Tilt , press the PTT button say call home, Voila!

Rainman - Thanks for the help. Awesome. Is there a way to assign a toogle of volume for this new button? Also - I have a tilt - is there a way to get the cool digital clock like in your pic? Is it an addition, if so, where can I download? Thanks again 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Does any body know how to change the PTT button to a "lock button" to lock the screen? i know how to change the keys and all that. I just need to know how you assign the "lock" to Button 6 when you go settings>buttons>assign a program, seeing as how there is no "lock" option in there. I know this can be done becuse i have heard of other who have done it, i am just not sure how. thanks.

"Rainman - Thanks for the help. Awesome.I have linked to the plugin on my profile under HTC Home Plugin. Just save it to your Tilt and open it from there. It will self install. You can switch to it under your Today settings. As for toggling the volume, what specifically are you looking for? You are the man! If you could spare a few moments, I would really appreciate it. I have started the process you laid out to change the PTT button to voice command. I found PHM Reg edit and now have my first problem. There are so many versions to choose from. I first tried to download the activesync version on my laptop (which is synchronized with my TILT) just before finishing the download, a window popped up asking me which programs I wanted to add or remove(the ones already on the phone). I cancelled that and everything stopped. I attempted to open the PHM again, but same thing. Then I tried to download directly to the TILT, but kept getting "Server Error in 'downloads' Application"...runtime error etc. What version do I need to download and where should I download it? Thanks so much. Very frustrating for an amateur.

With WM 6.1, you now now reassign the PTT button under Start>Settings>Buttons.
