Cannot synchronize my tilt with Windows Vista Bussiness

When I first bougth the phone I made the sync, after a week the computer didn't reconnized the phone. ATT gave me a new phone, I made the sync, but is not doing it again. I'm connecting the phone with usb cable, and it charges the phone, but no sync, the computer does not recognizes any mobile device connected. Does anyone had this problem that can help me? Thanks!!!!

Try going to Start -> Settings -> Connections tab -> USB-to-PC and UNCHECK the box about "Advanced network functionality"Reconnect your phone and try now. Any luck? 9 out of 12 found this valuable. Do you? |

I also have the same problem. I have an HTC 8925 AT&T Tilt and Windows Vista Ultimate. Re "Try going to Start -> Settings -> Connections tab -> USB-to-PC and UNCHECK the box about "Advanced network functionality". I have tried that in both settings, and rebooted my Vista Machine and my 8925 Tilt multiple times. I have also reflashed my Tilt ROM per the download of "http://www.america.htc.com/support/tilt/software-downloads.html". My Vista machine was able to push the ROM flash out to the Tilt. But Windows Vista Mobile Device Center will not sync with the Tilt, neither by USB nor by Bluetooth. I am able to pair my Vista machine with my 8925 Tilt in Bluetooth, but still cannot synch through Windows Vista Mobile Device Center. Every time I connect my 8925 Tilt to my Vista machine (whether by USB or Bluetooth), my Vista machine attempts to instal a new driver for the Tilt and then reports that driver installation has failed. However, the fact that I was able to use this Vista machine to reflash the ROM on my 8925 Tilt via USB indicates some level of connectivity. I like the 8925 Tilt and am just going to live without sync capability until someone updates that driver! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm having the same issue. Good blue tooth OR USB connection, but no sync. I did notice that I in device manager (under Other devices) that I'm showing an unknow device. When I try to update the driver it says that it finds the driver but has problems loading the driver for a "mobil device". I'd say that this is for sure a driver issue. I've searched all over for web help for the problem but to no avail.

Same issue. I use AVG antivirus (it's pretty agressive depending on your settings) and had issues with it blocking the packets on my usb ports and had to reconfigure it. You also might want to try disabling windows defender and firewall and seeing if it will sync then and if so readjust their settings.

Try going to Microsoft's website and downloading the latest WMDC for Vista. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx Be sure to remove any WMDC that's already installed before installing this new upgraded version. You can do that through "Programs and Features" in your Control Panel. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
