Keyboard/Input Freezing T-Mobile Wing

I'm having a problem where any time I use the key "i" or "I"--whether using the slide-out keyboard, the virtual keyboard, or a Bluetooth keyboard--the Wing freezes up completely, requiring a reset.

Any solutions?

Hey, I figured it out. Of the 40-50 threads I've come across with this problem, they were pretty much identical to mine (text freezing, screeens freezing, multipe soft resets each day, other crazy "hang-ups"). Here's the fix: If you're a TMobile subscriber, go to the website for the Wing software update effective April/May 2008. Go to: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/

The update/download was a combination upgrade/hard reset exercize. Just make sure that, 1) your SIM card has all your phone numbers, 2) your SD card is removed before the process is initiated, and 3) you sync your windows related data with your laptop before the download. My phone has worked perfectly ever since. Now as for non-TMob subscribers, go to your cell provider an ask about the latest 2008 ROM update, and where it might be on their website. I hope that helps.

Just for you to know - I have the brazilian version of this equipment and I'm having the very same problem with the keyboard (P4351 model). Locals cannot solve it - I'll try last post to see if it works. Have anyone tried with good results?
Best
John

i upgraded my rom. my text msgs are coming in all wacky. i texted a friend around 3pm today. he replied back with 2 txt msgs and i know he replied 1 after another cuz he was talking about the same subject. the first txt i got back from him says rcvd 3pm and new msgs are on top. the 2nd txt msg i rcvd from him tho was time stamped with fuckin 1pm!! and the msg was not on top and i had to scroll to bottom on inbox to read it. i re-installed it and it still doing the same damn thing. i can't be th eonly one having this problem. the contract that tmobile has with htc is reallly pissing me off. fuckin get a better phone for us to use.
