My provider changed from using just a username to using the entire e-mail address as the username and now I cant receive any e-mails. It keeps coming up to the incoming username and password which I reenter the entire e-mail as username and password, but it just keeps coming up again. Any suggestions.

I had a similar issue with my cox.net POP account while Gmail worked fine. It turns out my POP account provider (cox.net) does not allow SMTP from outside their network, such as from mobile device. So I had to sign up for account on SMTP.com to enable outgoing email using my cox.net POP account. Now it works fine but SMTP.com limits how many outgoing emails i can send per day (they offer umlimited plans too).

"I got in touch with the gentleman who provides our email service. He said to try entering port number 25 for outoing. He said that this is pretty standard for most email servers. I entered ":25" after my outgoing mail server and everything has been working perfect since. I suggest trying that. I also thought that I'd mention that I recently purchased a HTC 6800 from Bell and after using it for several days exchanged it for an HTC Touch and I am very glad I did. Once you get used to not having actual buttons to type with, I think the touch is much superior. Plus Bell is offering a $7 unlimited data for the Touch in Canada right now."My mobile is HTC Touch and I have the same problem with my yahoo account on outlook, i receive mails but i cannot send any, i receive the error "The messages(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again." This happens when I attempt to log into my Yahoo Mail accounts. i added :25 like u suggested for the outgoing server but it didnt work. can u please help Do you find this valuable? |
