I can't get my wi fi to work either. If I switch over to wireless, my mogul will see the networks, and I can enter the set up and enter in my network key. But when I try to connect, the network shows up as unavailable. Anyone have any ideas? 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Is the Network you are trying to connect to hidden? If it is, you have to set it up manually on the device, it wont see it automatically.
As far as showing up as unavailable, it could be low signal strength, incorrect settings (WEP, etc) or the Access Point isnt accepting anymore connections.

So I see the same problem. I don't have a hidden network - I broadcast my ssid and I have other devices which can freely come and go on the network. I'm using a dlink router and have tried 'b', 'g', 'n' and combination of those different bands/specifications - all with no luck. I'm concerned that this is a bad product from the various threads I've read - I hope that there is some form of support which will actually identify the root problem. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. I am actually experiencing EXACTLY the same problem. Everything was fine up until Mar 8/08. After that I can't seem to get onto WiFi - this includes unsecured, unhidden networks that anything else I own can easily connect to. I haven't added anything new since then so there's nothing that should have triggered this from my side. I have spoken with HTC - they tell me to call Telus. Telus tells me to call HTC....HELP!

Same issue here. Wi-fi all of a sudden just stopped finding networks to connect to. It's been 5 days and no internet access. I'm going to call Telus and see if they can replace the device.

If there's a fix from anyone, I'd love to see it!

Technically, Telus shoudl be handling this as they have opted to support the devices rather than HTC doing it. Have you done a Hard Reset on your device??That might bring it back to life...

My HTC P4000 has worked on wifi until this past week when I installed a new wireless router. After a few frustrating days of the same issue I called the HTC support people. Guess what? Most smart phones all work with the 'G' router, but not with 'N' As my hard wired desktop and two wireless notebooks are working fine with it, I guess we now need to find a way around the 'N' router issue for smart phones. Most 802.11n (300 mbps) routers are backward compatible to "g" (54mbps) and even "b" (11mbps). Check the tech. docs. on your router and see if there is an option to auto-select the transmit/receive speed. I don't know of any router that will do "N" but not "G". There is one possible SNAFU and that is if your router is operating at 5GHz rather than 2.4GHz which is standard for 802.11b/g.

Read the article below for the complete lowdown on 802.11n

Post back and let us know how it's working.

Thank you for your suggestions. I spoke with the linksys tech people for over 1/2 hour earlier today. I have switched the router to G only and it is operating at 2.4GHz. My desktop which is hard wired works well as does my laptop which is wireless, however, they both also worked on N (mixed setting). My HTC P4000 still does not connect wirelessly. It says it is available, but won't connect. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Thanks again.

Have you tried setting your phone to best performance instead of best battery

I also have same issue. And my Phone is HTC Diamond and Netgear N router. When i had G router it worked fine but when switched to N, the phone is Connecting to WIFI (Using WPA-PSK Encription), but drops connection right away. This issue with Win Mobile 6.1 phones not fully compatable with N routers due to G backwards compatability on N router not desined to connect / hold smart phones connections.
I reserched this issue !

My P4000 works wirelessly everywhere but at home on my network. Three computers are on the same network. As the issue is at home, I had to assume that it is a local problem. My Linksys WRT120N wireless router has a security setting which I have set using WEP with a 10 digit alphanumeric network key. It also has a network lock that prevents strangers from joining my network. I turned off the network lock and wow, my P4000 is now part of my home wireless network. It was just that easy. Once the P4000 became part of my network, I turned network lock back on and it is still in the network. Hope this works for others that also had this issue. Do you find this valuable?
