Bad and slow video on my Tilt (ATT)

I have new phone and it is real bad when using camera and watching video (games also). It is like a $75 phone, not good. How can I fix my problem. I paid good money $500 USD for phone that was going to be great but indeed it lacks in the area of videos and shoppy camera actions. Please help me.
