Lock touch screen

Hi Forum!
I would like to know if there is any way to lock or unable momentarily the touch screen of the telephone ATT 8525 while you are in a call. Becasue it is pretty anoying to realize after you finish the call that you inadvertedly erase an email or something else with your ear.
Thanks a lot

Try tapping the power button on top of the device. That just disables the screen. Tap it to turn the screen back on when you need. 8  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

This is horribly frustrating. I have the same phone, and the power button gets pushed all the time accidentally while in my pocket. Since the screen is not locked, I end up calling all sorts of people. I am extremely frustrated. The only way to lock the phone is with a passcode. I'd really appreciate the slider lock as seen on the iPhone. Ugghhhh 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Go to Settings, then All settings.
Go to System tab, then Key Lock. Click the Lock Buttons if Device is locked option
GO to "Long Press End Key" setting under same system tab
Choose the "Always Display the Quick List"
Now when you press and hold the disconnect call (end) key, you can choose lock device.
Pressing the connect or start call button will now NOT initiate a call.
