HTC Kaiser is letting me down...
Dec 7 2007, 1:13 PM EST
When I first got this device, I was very pleased...very happy with all it's functionalities and everything.
But there are some issues I've been having lately, and I can't seem to be able to solve them.
I'd like to know if anyone here can help me.

My main problem and most annoying is how slow the device gets sometimes. It jams, and I can't do anything for a while (this can happen up to a couple of times in a short period of use), sometimes I even have to reboot. This is quite annoying (I have hard reseted, and used it for a couple days with no add-on softwares, but had the same results). Usually, what happens is, I open a program (happens with any, program) and I get the "busy cursor", which usually goes away in less than 1 second. But for some reason, sometimes it just doesn't wanna go away, and it just keeps blinking, goes away for one second or two, and then another 5 seconds with the "busy icon"...and if i don't soft reset this can continue forever. I've tried looking in the memory and seeing which programs were running in the background (besides in the task manager)...and guess what..."NOTHING!". Now that is annoying! I've tried everything I've thought of, even turn off the HTC Home plugin, and same thing....
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT?
I've also had this weird problem, where I leave the phone locked and "off" with full battery, and when I come to turn it back on, the "power on" button, doesn't respond and the device doesn't wake from sleep mode. I know it's in sleep mode, because I slide the keyboard out and the keyboard light comes on, but still doesn't wake up the device!!!! This is so annoying! :(

I paid good money for this device, and it's so hard to get support. Is there any support line I can call?

Thank you very much for your attention.

Funny enough. I'm having the same problem and others with my TyTN II. Occasionally my device also frezze. The result of this is that I more and more frequently daily) must reset my HTC TyTN II. So my conclusion is now that I'm never buying a Microsoft based phone anymore, as it seems like they works with same priciples as Microsoft Windows/Vista operating systems = As reset buttom is a mandatory Microsoft feature. I can't remember I ever had to reset my SonyEricsson, Nokia or RIM device.
Sorry I don't have a solution for you, but unfortunately it also seems like that neither Microsoft nor HTC have any solutions for their product problems.

Funny to say ...I have the same problem I have the Tilt and when using it it just freezes and takes forever just to load a program or exit out a program.. Using the note pad or word program is the worst by far .typing on the keyboard freezes and using the the rest button after a while is annoying I can say once or twice but twice a day or every other day ....WoW I have contacted ATT about it and they suggested to get a memory card and put programs on it. . to free up device space. NO CHANCE never worked still have the same problem I will say it is the operating software . . windows 6 ..and from experience using the windows 5 software I NEVER had an issue to reset or anything...

Yep, me too. I removed it all. Went back to the official ATT ROM, but didn't let ATT bloat install. Just have VITO Funcontact installed, besides Google Maps, and DST update. Installed Da_Vince Yellow theme and I am back in Love with my Tilt.

Do it!

I actually found a solution for mine. I believe that it all goes down to something related to the task manager, so I just turned everything off. And installed a nice little application called pBar, various people comment it is unstable and freezes. Works fine for me, and never...ever...again needed to soft reset my kaiser! :)
I'm in love with it...just like that first week!

here's a link for it's free download!
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-pbar.html

Just don't forget to disable your task manager! (if anyone needs any help doing that...let me know).

If that still doesn't work...let me know, I got some other tips and tricks that should fix it.

I only found out yesterday of the video problem with this device as I too have the same problems! But I am even more depressed now after reading www.htcclassaction.org.

Read it and weep folks we have all been shafted by HTC NOT Microsoft!!!!!

if you are stil having problems i have a simple working solution, i did this the first time and it solved the problem, and did oit again today,
you can email me on penpopper@hotmail.co.uk together with a list of the apps you currently have loaded, i will charge you a small sum of £5 for the solution, that took me no longer then 3 mins to get it working again.
the alternative solution is to hard reset your device.
thank you for your interest
