I am not aware of any fax software that exisits for Windows Mobile devices in general and not sure how often it would actually be used. How would you propose faxing something from the Touch? Wouldn't email be more efficient than faxing? Also, some newer fax machines can send emails.

Well, Rainman76In Fact fax software could be very useful, as a lot of companies do STILL use faxing as standard means of Communications. |

"Well, Rainman76I understand that a lot of companies still use fax as a means of communication. I work for UnitedHealthcare and we still use faxes. What I am saying though, is to fax a document on a device, you would have to scan an image of it. You could use the camera, but the print would come out pretty small. You'd need a scanning device that could take the image at full size so it could be readable. A mobile phone is not the best device to handle this. I could see receiving a fax on the device, but to send, not so practical. |

it would be helpful to be able to edit a document with word and then be able to fax it from the phone. i am interested in this software too if anyone feels ambitious to build it.

"it would be helpful to be able to edit a document with word and then be able to fax it from the phone. i am interested in this software too if anyone feels ambitious to build it."The only way this could be accomplished is by somehow interfacing your mobile to a FAX MODEM. There are a number of all in one WiFi FAX MODEMS available; though I am not positive you can utilize their FAX capabilities through a HTC (driver availability?). A definite solution is to purchase a Socket Cordless 56K Modem CM7100-510. This MODEM does have Windows Mobile software. I never used one so I cannot make any claims about it. Finally, if you need FAX capabilities anytime/any place, I suggest signing up a subscription to a service like efax.com (there are others as well). Their service will cost you about $15 /month (or so) but efax's interface can't be beat (I have used it)! Faxes are sent just like email and you receive faxes through a fax telephone number that an efax subscription gives you. Hope I have helped. :-) |

"ya.it is more easier to email than fax but few company till want to use fax rather than email.any software that help. "Again, just "google" Windows Mobile Fax. Most of the options consist of fax service from a website. You email them a document and they fax it to whomever you want. |
