T-Mobile SDA
I have had my SDA for a few months and started getting "alerts" that I was out of memory. I deleted all of my emails (which I do anyway because I store them on my PC), photos, call history, etc. I still got the alert and was advised by T-Mobile advanced tech support to buy a memory card. So I purchased the card (the exact one on their website) SanDisk mini SD 2GB. I am still getting the error messages and no one at T-Mobile tech support can tell me how to get the phone to recognize the memory card, or how to move my data to the card. They have pretty much given up. Can anyone help me?

T-Mobile SDA Tips & Techniques
I posted this on the 2125 wiki since I'm a singular customer but the phone actually began life as a T-Mobile SDA so I'll post it here as well.
I’ve a set of tips and techniques I’ve found most useful to Http://mvdirona.com/SmartPhone. Included are registry hacks, app unlocking advice, home screen mods, key mapping changes and other little nits I’ve found useful. Including how to remap the T-Mobile "special key". I set mine to go straight to a search engine.

Synchronization from SDA to Outlook
My Outlook contact list disappeared and I wold like to copy the contacts on the SDA back to Outlook on my computer. From what I read it sounds like a sync will only erase the contacts on the SDA. If this is try, is there a way to work around it?

SDA Navigation Control (Trackball)
I know SDA model is a very old one, but I desperately wanted to see if I could find a solution to the chronic problem with the SDA Navigation Control button (Trackball). Simply put, the trackball almost always never works. I have reset the phone to factory settings, tried various options suggested by T-Mobile customer service, but the result was no different. To be honest, SDA is one of the great products that could have been. But it turned out to be one of the worst, if not the worst, products that I have used. That too just because of the friggin trackball. If there were no "smart" selections using the key pad, the only place this device deserves is the dustbin, a paper weight comes a close second. I don't know how can an engineer build such a product with such a poor performing "CRUCIAL" part. Without the trackball, the life with SDA is just frustration.
Having vented out my frustration in as few lines as I could, I am requesting the gurus on the forum to help me find a solution to this nightmare. Of course, dumping the phone for another is an option, but that's the last resort. If someone could help, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks for reading the post!

SDA keypad light issue
I have the T-Mobile SDA (USA version). My keypad light does not come on when it is dark. How can I make this happen so that I know what keys I am pressing at night? The light does not come on until about 2 or 3 key presses. Also, is there any way to change the time that the light stays on?

There is now available MiniSD HCHS up to 8 gig. Is the new 2.0 compatible with the 1.1 or is it capable of being updated to recognize the newer format? Any one know? T-mobile hasn't been much help on giving me a definitive answer.

Problems transferring video from SDA to desktop
"I have recorded video using SDA and I can playback video and audio successfully on the phone. When I transfer MP4 files to desktop and play on Windows Media Player 11, I can't hear any audio. I think I am missing a codec required for audio playback but I don't know which one I need. I have installed 3ivx to play back MP4 in Windows Media Player.
Any ideas?" Follow up: The problem is related to audio codec (AMR Narrowband) used by SDA to record MP4 file. I was able to successfully play the file on another computer running Quicktime + iTunes. So, it seems that Quicktime and iTunes includes audio codec needed to play the files.
It would be nice to convert the file to a format that can be universally played on Windows Media Player. I want to investigate ULead, FFDShow, Mobile AMR Converter, Pinnacle Studio, and mp4cam2avi to find optimal solution. Does anyone have experience with any of these converter tools?
