  • Synchronization Wierdness I got a new P3470 yesterday. I had hundreds of numbers on my SIM card, many of which I no longer use. I figured, who needs the numbers on the SIM card if you are synchronizing with Outlook. Made sense to me at least. So I found a function on my old phone which supposedly deleted ALL the numbers from the SIM card. I even had to enter a code to do it. I was informed the numbers had been deleted. Then I hooked up to Outlook and synchronized. The Outlook appear to be correctly moved over from the PC to the HIC. The amazing this is that the SIM card is filled again. Many of the SIM entries also have parallel Outlook entries. And many of the SIM entries do NOT have parallel Outlook entries. These are the contacts that I no longer want to have anymore. I suppose I could delete them individually but there are many. Close to 100. What I don't get is where they come from. The have been mysteriously resurrected if my assumption that I deleted them all yesterday using the old phone is correct. My questions are: how did they resurrect themselves? Do I need duplicate entries on a SIM card if I synchronize with Outlook? If I don't need them, how can I get rid of them once and for all? Many thanks for any insight here.

  • Touch Diamond ActiveSync - synchronizing I am trying to synchronize my TD to a second computer (connected to a work network) via USB. ActiveSync was installed fine and the device seems to be connected fine. However, the information does not get synchronized – in the window on the PC, the green disc keeps rotating and says “synchronizing” to the left of it and on the (Windows 6) device it says either “waiting for network” or, if I press “Sync” the green disc rotates for a while (“with “Synchronizing” to the left) and then goes back to “waiting for network”).
Please could you advise me on how to get around this problem.

    Thanks,
    Adam

  • Problems synchronizing hotmail with PPC6800 (Mogul) Has anyone been having problems synchronizing hotmail with their ppc6800 using windows live? I've done everything Sprint told me to do, what microsoft told me to do, and what HTC told me to do. Still it won't work. I can connect to messenger through my phone, but can't seem to download the e-mail. Everytime it says sync failed. Or Server didn't respond.

    I've tried:

    Hard Resetig on my device.
Changing account options in Windows live services.
Uninstalling and Installing active sync 4.5.
Clearing the password on my pda and logging in again.
    Changing users.
Changing contact pictures in my PC for Windows live.

Name everything told in other forums, and I've done it. It still won't work, and no one can help me. Has this happened to anyone else? I would appreciate your help! I use my e-mail for work, so I'm kind of desperate.

  • My Dash doesn't synchronize through Bluetooth... Hi,

I got a new T-Mobile Dash and upgraded it to MS Mobile 6.0.
I have a Dell Latitude D610 with Bluetooth Stack from Toshiba v4.00.20(D).

I can synchronize with the USB cable.
I can synchronize with Bluetooth my old Nokia and use my headset.

What is strange that the Phone shows up as a network access point on the
    Bluetooth app on my Dell.
In any case, I tried a lot and my phone doesn't synchronize with the PC.
When I delete all bluetooth devices and readd from laptop I'm getting a
message that the phoen refused connection.

    Any ideas are welcome!

  • How do you synchronize Calendar app with Outlook Hello! Since buying the phone, I've been entering my appointments into the Calendar application. I figure it'll be easier to enter appointments in Outlook on my PC, then synchronizing with my Dash -- but I haven't found a way to synch them together? The documentation that comes with the phone is terrible and does not have any useful information regarding synchronization. By the way, I didn't sign up for the email/internet service on the phone -- I just want to use the Calendar feature of outlook. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!!

  • Problem: Synchronization of TyTN II with Vista (Outlook 2007) Guys, I can’t sync data with Vista. I tried to connect using USB cable and Bluetooth. Connection is successful, but there is no synchronization.

    Vista: Vista firewall, C:\Windows\WindowsMobile\wmdc.exe added.

When I start Sync from PC – it looks like 1-sec sunc process with no data transmitted. When I start Sync from TyTN II – sync started, but the line (which shows the process) is not moving. Does anybody has this type of problem? Please, help.

  • Microsoft Exchange Synchronization / Direct Push w/o Data Plan? According to the Application/Operation section of the AT&T 8525 FAQ <http://www.america.htc.com/support/8525/faqs.html>, it is possible to synchronize e-mail with a properly configured Microsoft Exchange 2003 SP2 server without having a data plan:

"Is it possible to sync data wirelessly without a AT&T wireless data connection?
Yes, you can use Bluetooth or IrDA to sync with your PC via ActiveSync or another device which also supports Bluetooth or IrDA. It is also possible to sync directly with an Exchange 2003 Server."

However, I've read elsewhere <http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/04/03/424028.aspx> that Microsoft Direct Push does not work over Wi-Fi:

"3. Is Direct Push supported over Wi-Fi?

No. Direct Push requires a cellular data connection. It is not supported over Wi-Fi or Desktop Passthrough(when the device is cradled).

Due to hardware limitations, Wi-Fi cannot go into standby mode and receive notifications. So in order to support Direct Push over Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi connection would have to be kept alive which in turn would drain the battery very rapidly."

Does this Wi-Fi/Direct Push limitation not apply to the HTC 8525 or is the direct Microsoft Exchange Server synchronization a separate, client-initiated (non-push) synchronization?

I bought a HTC 6800 in september 2007, 1 month later, I got this message in french (I'm french): "the synchronization failed. Reconnect and retry. If you still have the problem, go in the Help section and it the button problem Microsoft activesynch." I called the tech at Bell, he told me that the problem is the machine, I went to change the machine (HtC6800), I reinstall the activesynch with the new HTC. Everything was fine for another month, mid of november, same problem. I called back the tech for Data at Bell Mobility, we tried some little things, nothing worked. I suggested me to reformat my hard disk on the PC, I did it, nothing changed, I still have the problem. The thing is I didn't synchronize my HTC 6800 with my Pc since mid of november, I work with, I have a lot of info that I couldn't backe up on the PC, so I don't wan't to do a hard reset on my HTC6800.
