getting numbers off of broken cingular 2125??
My htc made cingular 2125's screen cracked recently, with all of my numbers saved on the internal memory. At&t couldn't find a way to get them off of the phone. I have active sync and when connected to my computer, I can view the folder that contains the numbers but the folder will not open. Is there any way to get my numbers from my phone to my computer without being able to see the screen?! I don't want to have to pay $140 to get a new screen put in. Thanks!

2125 BLUE TOOTH action....
I have had my 2125 for over a month now. After hours of research on the phone with Cingular and HTC, i JUST found out that the 2125 does not Sync with the laptop via an INTERNAL BLUETOOTH. Ok... alright... i finally got thru the emotions of Not syncing as I did before with the Nokia 6682 via the Bluetooth. Both devices pair fine.... I just cant open the mic on the headset and use it as such.
NOW I cant find a way to use my Bluetooth Motorola HS850 Earpiece. Does ANYONE have a 2125 hooked up and using Bluetooth at all?
Please let me know...
DownWithTheBlues..... Dave

2125 answer ignore problems
Oh how I wish I had enough room to write out my whole experience on this issue. Missing calls, ignoring calls, having people listen in on me singing and driving because my 2125 answered itself without my knowing, spending HOURS on the phone with both Cingular and HTC while being made to feel like I was crazy, printing out posts from similar message boards and taking them down to the Cingular store to desperately try to get them to give me a new phone for anything other than the full price. It has been an absolute nightmare. My only conclsion is to drop Cingular once my contract runs out and to never buy an HTC phone again. Shame, too, Because it was a near perfect phone. Except for the small fact that ithis problem renders it completely unusable. A simple software upgrade would have fixed the whole thing. Now I use a Samsung and I'm happy as a pig in... well you know the rest. But here's the final word: We can't just keep lying down and taking it. Everyone on this thread needs to switch their service from Cingular to another carrier and never buy an HTC phone again. Then, maybe people will start listening.

Modem Link bluescreen scenario (2125).
Hi,
I bought a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop with the intent on connecting the 2125 via Modem Link (via USB). Before the Dell, I have successfully used Modem Link on my old (don't laugh) AMD K6 300 NEC laptop. The Dell is running XP Pro SP2. Modem Link works for about 3 minutes (I have internet connectivity) and then the Dell laptop bluescreens with:
Bugcode_USB_Driver
Stop: 0x000000FE (0x00000005, 0x89BCB080, 0x10024387, 0x89C61F90)
Fyi:
First I use ActiveSync Toggle to disable activesync.
Next "activate" Modem Link.
Next plug the phone into laptop's USB port.
Next use 2125's IE to get to a web page.
Next, after about 3-5 minutes, the laptop bluescreens.
Next, I leave the 2125 teathered, and device-uninstall the HTC modem from the laptop. I reboot the laptop and let it reinstall the freshly detected HTC modem. It detects several components of the modem (modem, wave device, etc.).
Next I activate Modem Link again, and the same bluescreen scenario starts again.
The current OS on the 2125 is:
ROM version : 1.0.9.0
OPERATOR version : 1.8.42.14
Note: this may be thge original OS on the phone, but I am not certain of that.
First question: I have just downloded the latest OS from the HTC site (ie. To_CWS_20130_284222_022501_Ship.exe ). Any ideas if this OS upgrade will fix my bluescreen error?
Second question: Does the OS install wipe out the 3rd party programs that I have already installed on the 2125? (like the kind of goodies I found via the excellent "MoDaCo _ HTC Tornado / Faraday & Variants _ Cingular 2125: Everything you need to know" post that you have in this forum).
(Thought: I never had this problem on USB 1.1 laptops/pc. Is Modem Link USB 2.0 compatable?)
Regards,
Brcobrem
