Winterface is a mobile shell of next generation that can virtually replace the default Windows Mobile user interface. By doing this Winterface also gives you the full freedom of organizing your interface exactly as you like it, with style and enhanced functionality.


There is an icon for everything
Winterface allows users to set up as many screen pages as they need and put icons on these pages for applications, settings, contacts, separate files - everything available on their Windows Mobile devices through a standard and sometimes boring interface.

Notification icons
Some icons simply launch applications or open system settings. Others show you some additional information. The phone icon shows you number of missed calls, SMS and Email icons - unread text and email messages, Tasks and Calendar show you upcoming events and tasks.

Status icons
Calendar additionally shows current date and the day of the week. There are several icons of this sort in Winterface like phone profile, clock, memory, carrier signal, bluetooth, ActiveSync, and battery that show status info for the corresponding applications.

Contact icons
Apart from icons that launch applications, open settings, or a certain (audio, video, or document) file, Winterface also allows to create contact icons. When you tap any contact icon, there appears a transparent window with contact's details - now you are one tap from placing a phone call, sending a text or email message to this contact.


Lock screen
Lock screen appears every time after turning on the device. Lock screen shows current time, day of the week, and the date. Lock screen is transparent and allows you to see the important info under it like numbers of missed phone calls or unread messages. Sliding the padlock icon unlocks the screen and gives access to all icons
Lock screen prevents from accidental presses if the devices turns on in the pocket but it can be also switched off altogether.

Starting & closing gestures
Winterface can be opened from anywhere: from Today or from any 3rd party application. It opens when you draw a gesture of upside down tick (^) on the screen.
Winterface can be closed with the opposite to opening gesture: V or through a menu.
Pages with icons in Winterface are smoothly flipped through with sliding finger gestures.

Winterface is unbelievably easy to use. This is not just intuitive. This is natural. All icons are finger-friendly. All icons can be placed anywhere on the screen, then moved across the screens, deleted, added. It is also possible to create duplicate icons on several screens.



Winterface allows users to easily monitor what applications are running, switch between them or close them. They just need to tap a permanent icon "Running" on the first screen. Then tap any icon in the newly appeared window to switch to this application. They need to tap a smaller red icon in the upper right corner of a bigger icon to close the corresponding application.
