I have the same issue with mine. Screen blacks out after a few minutes (as it should) but then it doesn't turn back on (LEDs still blinking as well). I have to remove the battery to restart the phone. Any ideas anyone?

"I am actually experiencing EXACTLY the same problem. Everything was fine up until Mar 8/08. After that I can't seem to get onto WiFi - this includes unsecured, unhidden networks that anything else I own can easily connect to. I haven't added anything new since then so there's nothing that should have triggered this from my side. I have spoken with HTC - they tell me to call Telus. Telus tells me to call HTC....HELP!"

Technically, Telus shoudl be handling this as they have opted to support the devices rather than HTC doing it. Have you done a Hard Reset on your device??That might bring it back to life...

This is a combination of a phone software bug that fails to add the 1, and the failure of Telus to define dialling rules that accommodate 10-digit long distance dialling. It effectively disables anything but manual dialling for most users in most calling areas, crippling the phone.

I had extensive discussions with Telus tech support and network support when I first bought the phone, and was told to expect a software update from HTC 'shortly'. Ten months later, still no software update, and the only advice Telus provides now is to update every contact in one's address book to include the 1 (which will take hours and hours, and will also cripple use of the address book for other phones or Skype).

However, there is a workaround ... dial the number from the phone's address book (or from an SMS or whatever), let it fail, and then hit the Call button to redial last number. The HTC software will add the 1 to the number ON REDIAL.

However, even with this accidental workaround, I'm done with Telus. There's no way this serious problem didn't come up during testing of the phone on their network, and they released it anyway then decided to play dumb when customer complaints started to come in. I thought Rogers was bad, but this is taking it up a notch.

it is available... the link from telus is broken... but it's availble from htc.com site.. look it's there I just upgraded mine yesterday

No, I have an internet connection with my handheld. I just thought I was supposed to be able to synch everything up between my handheld and my PC. It would be great if I could send and receive my emails with the folders that are sunk. I instead had to create a separate account with all my email settings for the same outlook account, however the folders are not sunk. Is there anything I can do?

Yeah, I played with all those settings. I called HTC and they told me that a lot of their units have an issue working with BT headsets. The problem of the low volume only occurs during a call, anything else such as music is perfectly fine. They said the next ROM update should correct it.
