Smartphone Software

One of the cool things about smartphones is that they're programmable. There are gearheads out there building apps that make your SDA experience more robust, more useful, more FUN!

  • Skype for Windows Mobile Smartphones. Skype lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at per minute rates. As of December 2006, Skype for Windows Mobile Smartphones is still in Beta, and as such the sound only works as if the phone is in speakerphone mode (or with a headset). Other than that it works great on the SDA II.

  • Call To Contact - Quickly and easily assign phone numbers to existing or new contacts! Call To Contact allows you to easily add new phone numbers to existing phone contacts with just a few clicks. When an incoming phone call is received, Call To Contact checks to see if that number is already associated with one of your contacts. If not, Call To Contact will prompt you to add the number once the phone conversation finishes.

  • NewsBreak 1.2 by Ilium Software - NewsBreak from Ilium Software is the easiest to use RSS newsreader for your Windows Powered Smartphone. Track the latest headlines, news briefs, posts on your favorite Web logs, and online stores.
