S720 Device Name Edit?

Hi, I recently got my HTC S720 phone however I made a fatal mistake of ActiveSyncing it on a computer that's not mine and it seems to have given my S720 a name that I do not want. It gave my phone a profane name that I would like to change. I've contacted HTC customer support but they pretty much said that they can't really help with that because that would require registry editing on the device and they can't help me with that. So anybody able to help me here? Please :( I'm about to cry because I got the phone just a couple of days ago and I do not want my phone to be named something stupid. I have done a bit of registry editing on my pc but i'm new to this whole world of smartphones. I would not mind using some free registry editor that's out there except for I don't really know which ones are legit and safe to use. Not to mention how to actually use it. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
