Well, I just got fed up so now, im doing an exchange with T-Mobile. I hope the stupid thing needs exchange 2 more times so I can get a new device.

Hi.

I have the same problems.... The HTC DIamond connect perfectly on my laptop with XP, but on my desktop running Vista, it wont connect....... The devise cant be detected in device manager nor in windows media player. But when i blug it in there are no errormessages.

I've tryed to reinstall device manager many times. tryed over bluetooth and the devicemanager just doesned find anything. I've disabled the firewall....rebooted the phone..... reset the phone to fabric default disabled the advanced settings on the Device and followed every tip i found on the net etc etc etc, but there's just no connection from the phone to the device manager. What can i do ???
The bluetooth software finds the phone just fine, but the device manager doesn't react to anything and i cant find active sync anywhere....

bye the way.... the first time i connected the phone and installed the software it worked, but the next morning it didn't and haven't since....

Hope you can help me..... i'm getting very frustrated over this....

It seems Mercs have produced an antiquated piece of kit for their cars that is not upgradeable and can only be used with certain phones. MB expect your decision making process to determine the phone you buy to be totally guided by the car you drive!"

The SAP Module was introduced way before Windows Mobile was released. So you really can't blame MB for not being compatible with Windows Mobile as it was not available. "It seems Mercs have produced an antiquated piece of kit for their cars" is a bit harsh because the SAP Module works great with my Nokia 6120 Classic and can even display the SMS on the COMAND stereo screen and also boosts mobile reception by using the cars external antenna. Each to their own but I reckon its great. The new platforms used by Mercedes-Benz (NTG 2.5 and 4) work flawlessly with the HTC Diamond.

i had a problem watching youtube also. i install the WM6.1 from AT&T and not it loads with no problem. i also use skyfire.

I agree with Canadians. I bought black duct tape and cut a very small piece the shape of the LED. I put it on the LED and "no problem". Can just see the light enough to know it on and when it is charging. There is a hack to stop the light but it also stops the phone from vibrating. Lee
