I have a cingular 3125 and I would like to sync music over bluetooth (I have an XP). Right now I am using ActiveSync and when I try to sync music over bluetooth, it tells me to disconnect bluetooth and attach teh USB cable. Is there something I am missing? other software that can do this? I would appreciate if anyone can give me the procedure they use to sync music over bluetooth with 3125.

I just installed WIndows Vista on my system, and the Device Center crashes when trying to set the sync options for the phone. Anyone figured out how to make the phone sync with Vista?

well, i see a lot of people are having problems with the "missed call issue" the same issue that also prevents incoming SMS messages... someone said that this occours when you lose signal, then regain it... the regained signal seems to work, but doesn't. the only "fix" is resetting, and it's temporary... (until you lose your signal again)
well, hopefully some will find this helpful. From what i understand, the issue has to do with the ROM image that comes with the Qtek branded phone. (the imate and cingular versions have different ROMs that don't usually have the problem), so the ideal solution is to *NOT* use the Qtek specific ROM image... not easy, considering the device is locked to only accept the Qtek images, despite the fact that the other images would work with the phone (due to the fact that the hardware is identical). also, from what i understand, the imate branded phones (smartflip) have the "best" ROM image, least problems, and least amount of excessive applications (unlike the cingular version)... this is, of course, subjective. before i continue, i'd like to state, follow any of these instructions at your own risk, if you unlock your phone, likely, your warranty goes with it. it's all up to you to get it repaired from there, so if you brick your phone, please understand that i do not take any liability in what can, could, will, or may never happen to your phone. with that being said, all you need to do, to reflash with a different ROM, is use a web-based service, like the one located here: http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ (there is money exchange involved), follow their directions to unlock the CID, and reflash using the flashing software for the imate (or whatever) phone... this also makes your phone SIM-Free, and allows you to use any viable ROM image. please note, ROM images contain all the drivers for the device they're compiled for. so please don't try to flash an XDA rom onto your 8500. |

My last phone was the motorola razor and with mobile phone tools I could download and edit tracks to use as my ring tones. I can not figure out how to do this with the 3125. Any suggestions?

I would like to purchase an extra data cable for my Cingular 3125, but have not been able to find one on the Web or at a Cingular store. Has anyone been able to find a commerce site that has the Cingular 3125 data cabe in stock? Has it even been released yet?

The home screen layout options (aka Default, simple and basic) all appear to have various forms of the "Get More..." on the home page. On the simple layout this option is always highlighted. "Get More..." appears to always take go to the comm manager. Anyone know how to get rid of entry on the home screen? thanx

Every time I try to download a video clip my phone downloads the code but will not play the video. How do I open the file with windows
media player. Do I have to save the file to memory card and view it later while in media player? |

I just recently purchased the Cingular 3125 (aka Qtek 8500). I have the H700 Motorola bluetooth headset and it is paired up with the phone and I can talk via the headset. I would like to be able to listen to mp3s via a bluetooth headset. I assumed with the profile set to Headset that when I play music using Windows Media Player that it would play through my headset. However, it plays on the speakerphone. While the music is playing on the speakerphone, I can push the button on the H700 and music will start playing through the headset and stop playing on the speakerphone for about 10 seconds. Then it reverts back to playing on the speakerphone. What can I do to play music through the H700 bluetooth headset? Thx.
