HTC Sucks
What gets me more than anything is that HTC brought to market a series of phones that continually miss calls, and they do nothing to acknowledge or address this problem. There are discussions on this wiki about the problem (http://www.htcwiki.com/page/Qtek+8500+Problems+%2F+Support), and it also affects other HTC phones, but HTC won't even respond to an email requesting guidance on how to fix this know issue. I guess that would be tantamount to admitting liability for marketing a substandard product. I will NEVER, NEVER buy another HTC phone. Flawed products and completely non-existent customer service. A nightmare of a company.

if phone loses connection, have to reboot before it will reconnect
Qtek 8500, if the phone loses signal, it will appear to regain it the next time you are in range but you won't be able to make/receive calls or SMS until you reboot!
ROM version: 1.02.252.1 Radio Version: 4.1.13.17_02.32.31 I'm sure it's fixed (read here that the i-mate version is fixed: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/phones/QTEK-8500.htm) but there are no firmware updates available for the Qtek model, why not?! I am the owner of a $400 brick!

When will the 3125 ROM be available for download?
It's been a week since Cingular launched the 3125, so it's clear that a final version of the ROM exists. When can we download it and solve the painful problems that all of us Qtek 8500 users have been having with Cingular?

DO NOT buy this phone!!!!
I have the same problem with an HTC/QTek 8500. Their representantive in Greece is asking for 247 Euros to fix it. The phone is 4 months old. Not a scratch on it. I have seen noumerous reports on the internet on many HTC phones exhibiting the same problem with the USB connector. I will NEVER buy and HTC phone again. It is rediculous not to accept that this is a defective product. Some customers have gotten a new phone, but you have to insist and contact the right people. The fact that they are not accepting this as a defect is outrageous...

HTC S710 - LCD SCREEN CRACKES
"You can find replacements on E-Bay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=260140610992&Category=41343&_trksid=p3907.m29" This screen you are suggesting I am affraid that it is not suible for HTC S710. (And I am pretty sure about it!!) It is only for Dopod S300 and Qtek 8500. And in eBay in general there are no such screens. If though there is anyone who knows where I can get an LCD for HTC S710 pleaseeee let me know! :-)
