Open Email AttachmentsThis is a featured page

Email attachments must be downloaded separately from the actual message. By default, a send/receive will not download the attachment unless otherwise specified.

  1. Browse to and open the email that contains the attachment (Figure 1)
    • The attachment will have a generic blank icon next to the file name Figure 2
  2. Using the navigation joystick, scroll to and select the attachment file name
    • A message saying the message will be downloaded on the next send/receive will appear under the file name (Figure 2)
  3. Select Menu, Send/Receive to download the attachment (Figure 3)Figure 3
    • During this process you may notice at the top of the screen, the device will indicate that it is connecting, downloading
  4. Once the send/receive is complete, the icon next to the file will change according to the file extension (Figure 4). Select the attachment again to open it.Figure 4
    • If the icon does not change, you may not have the necessary viewer installed to open the file.
  5. To view Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, you will have to install the ClearVue Application Suite which is located on the Getting Started disk that came with the phone or another third party application. See Installing the ClearVue Suite
