By default, your Windows® phone automatically manages access to your GPS receiver, which allows multiple programs to access GPS data simultaneously. We recommend that you keep this option selected. If you clear this option, only one program at a time will be able to access the GPS receiver.
To manage GPS automatically

Notes
Some programs may need direct access to the GPS receiver. Before you use these programs, clear the Manage GPS automatically check box. For information about the GPS access requirements of a particular program, see the program’s user guide.
