Agree with the first poster regarding the data connection not being released. I have a MTeor and if I manually disconnect after syncing, I get 2 days battery life easily. If I don't disconnect, even if I don't transfer any data over the data connection after syncing, the battery life is less than 8 hours! This is really poor and there is no fix planned.
I have asked the folks over at Pocketmax if they can add a data disconnection function to phoneAlarm SP (it is part of phoneAlaram for PDA). If you have a MTeor (or any WM5 phone which is affected by this issue, and I know there are others), please post your support here http://www.pocketmax.net/smf/index.php?topic=4009.0 - if they get anough requests, they may try to add the feature.

Downloaded the certificate update from HTC.com, but I found the link on XDA-developers. Is there any way to check all the available downloads on HTC website??? When are they going to release a new rom for MTeoR?
One more thing, I use 3 network and if I leave band settings in Auto, every time the signal is not strong enought it switchs to GSM and drops the connection (both Voice and Data). |

aaaaghhh..The new Mteor wont let you edit the registry to enable you to install your private certificate as I could with the SPV5 and Qteks in order to connect to an exchange 2003 server remotely. Does anyone have an idea how I get around this. I have tried remotemobileeditor and regeditSTk etc etc

I've just got the MTeoR, and have set it up working on Orange. Overall, everything seems to be ok until you try and run ActiveSync with an interval. When it syncs, it connects, syncs the data but then does not release the data connection, leaving the phone to quickly drain the battery.
I have spoken with HTC UK who said this is a known issue and the workaround is to manually disconnect every single time. Really annoying, holding down the End Call button should cause the connectino to drop, but even that does not work - istead you have to go to the Comm manager and disconnect there. I was told HTC are looking for a ROM upgrade to solve the issue but as yet no date, not even indicative. From my point of view this makes the MTeoR completely unusable for the sync functionality - interestingly, we had the same issuew thi the Orange SPV C600 on AKU 1.0 which was then fixed with AKU 2.0. However, right now for us, the C600 is better since it does not have this issue |
