M:Panel

Notice: Please be careful when downloading applications for your smartphone. Neither HTC nor the HTC Wiki can assure that all the links posted here are valid software and not malware. For more information see the HTC Wiki Validity of Content page.

M:Panel is an unusual application that helps the wireless industry improve the quality of its phones while also providing a marginal profit for the end user who installs it.

M:Panel installs and runs in the background. It collects information on how a user utilizes their Smartphone or PocketPC. It does not track the actual information sent or received. In return for this usage information, the creators ofM:Panel give the user who installs the application money up-front, and then a re-occurring check is sent for each month it is installed. (This is a rather new incentive methodology being used by certain companies and it appears to be gaining traction for certain business models.)

M:Metrics provides high quality consumer research to mobile industry leaders. Mobile service providers, phone manufacturers, and games and content publishers use the research reports to determine what new features and services to develop. Panelists' personal information is never sold or disclosed to marketers. M:Metrics was founded in 2004 by Will Hodgman and Seamus McAteer, pioneers in the wireless benchmarking industry.

The m:panel will install and run on all WM 5.0+, and PPC WM 5.0+
