XV6700 Internet email notification
Hi - I have basically no experience with tech stuff so am flying blind. Problem I am having is that I am getting my emails from a gmail account - they are sending and receiving fine - but I can't seem to get the phone to give me either an audible or vibrate announcement that an email has arrive. I am using gmail via internet as I want to get emails much quicker than the normal timeframe verizon syncs - begins 15 minutes and incrementally reduces. Does anyone know how to get my pda to notify me when there is an email. Thanks

voice activation on the HTC xv6700
does anyone know how to actually use this feature. I can set it up, record names, etc, but can't figure out how to actually speak an name and get the phone to dial that number?

voice activation - how to set it up and use it
i can't figure out how to actually use the Voice Activation feature on my XV6700. i can set it up, record names, etc. But, how do i start using it to call the numbers of the names I've entered.

Missing the pointer part (the black round Rubber?)
I'm a Verizon smartphone XV6700 user. I'm having some problem, perhaps anyone can help me with your informations about my smartphone.
I lost my black part from my smartphone pointer(is it from rubber or other?). The part in the middle of the verizone XV6700. It was fall apart from the pointer! A poor glue !!! Now I had no idea how and where to find these part I had missed. Where I should contact? Since I had only got my smartphone a month ago!

SMT5800 Alternative Shell
I recently upgraded my (HTC) Verizon xv6700 to the (HTC) Verizon SMT5800. My xv6700 displayed my name and phone # on the shell. This came in handy when I lost the phone and it was returned when the person who found the phone called the number on the display. The SMT5800 shell does not show my name & phone number. Does anyone know how to add this information to the standard shell, or is there an alternative shell that can display this information?

VX6700 Alarm Sounds
Do anyone know how to add different alarm tones other than the factory ones which sucks really bad. If I'm sleep, I can't hear the "DING" or other chime sounds thats on there.

XV-6700 problem / questions
I have 2 issues
1) I know how to program the buttons to do what I want. However, on this one phone no matter what I tell button 5 to do it always brings me into notes. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
2) whenever I make an outgoing call using any bT headset it dials the # rings and when the call is answered the phone disconnects me. this does not happen when not using the Blkuetooth. Any help please

Built in Camcorder,
I've had my XV6700 for about a month, and have taken somewhere around 50 still pics and 10 or so video clips. Through the last two days, every time I try to shoot a picture I get a message that the capture failed because there's not enough memory. However, I have the camera set to capture to the SD card, and that is a 1 gig card containing only three movies of 3/4 to 1M each and half a dozen stills at 40 to 175K apiece. Has anyone else seen this problem? Any suggestions for how to fix?

Missing CapsLock and NumLock Indicators
Hey Everyone. I can't find a way (built in or by adding software) to get my XV6700 to display any indication when the shift, caps, or numlock functions are on through the built-in keyboard Any ideas?
(Note: when I use a separate bluetooth keyboard, "C" and "N" indicators do appear when I activate these functions).

Memory Issues
Does anyone know how or what you can delete on the phones internal memory? This is a Verizon Phone and I get the feeling that everything that came loaded on it is hogging the memory... I keep getting messages that it is critically low and I have everything on my storage card...

Replacing Broken LCD
Does anyone have the REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS on how to take apart this phone (xv6700) to replace the LCD screen and or digitizer & flex cable. I believe it requires 2 plastic tools in addition to the 2 Torx ? screwdrivers. Can't find on Google. Any suggestions?
Also, since the LCD cracked the 1st day I had it, any suggestions on a better case that can handle impact. The phone was in a thin pouch and the beltclip popped off my belt and the phone, still in the case, hit the floor on the side (not the glass face) of the case. Thanks
