Warning: All data will be permanently deleted from the device during the Hard Reset process!!! A master reset restores the original factory settings and will erase all downloaded content, including ringtones, camera images, contacts stored in the handset memory, and Java™ applications. It does not erase data stored on the SIM card or memory card (if available) although it is best practice to removed the storage card before performing a Hard Reset. Back up all necessary data on the device memory before proceeding.
  1. Power the device Off.
  2. Press and hold the Center Navigation Control Key and Volume Down buttons, and at the same time, press the POWER button once.
  3. Continue to hold the Center Navigation Control Key and Volume Down buttons until you get the Hard Reset confirmation screen and then press the Volume Up Key to reset the device.

NOTE: Once the Hard Reset has been completed, allow the Automatic Customization process to complete: failure to do so can cause poor device performance and/or malfunction.
