I have been using a XV6600 for the past 2 years and have been very satisfied with its performance (though less satisfied with its telephone performance). I am switching to the AT&T 8525 (running Windows Mobile 5) and am very concerned with the performance I'm experiencing. It takes over a minute for contacts to open after a soft-reset. Searching is much slower. As I type in a name, it pauses for several seconds after 3 characters are typed in. I have 4000+ contacts. On the 6600 (running Windows Mobile 2003), the application opens immediately after a soft-reset and searches with no hesitation.
Anyone experiencing something similar?

"yes My 8525 is also very slow, and the response time for search is slow. have about 2000 addresses. sometimes it freezes and have to reboot again specially when its in search and taking too long and i go in to another application.. thei soft reboot again " yes i ahve a 2 gig card loaded with 1.8 gig, and 2000 odd address, but the response time for search is slow sometime it can take up to 15-20 seconds. also when switching application, it becomes slow. this is supposed to have a faster chip i believe that the 8125.
