HTC TyTN II Accessories
HTC (and others) brought out some nice accessories.
Hereby you get a small impression on what is available. The first thing you need to purchase would be a screen protector, good screen protectors are washable,re-useable and will greatly reduce screen glare and provide thick/durable protection against stylus wear and normal scratches. Two good brands of the film protector could be found here and here
HTC Supports up to 8GB MicroSD SDHC flash cards. That means the majority of MicroSD/MicroSD SDHC cards could be used with Tilt/TyTN II.
Original HTC accessories:
Highlights:
- For all HTC handsets with an ExtUSB connector
- Call answer/call end button
- Audio volume adjustment control
- Excellent sound quality for music and calls
The YC A100 and YC A120 (picture on the right) are HTC's Y-cables to split the ExtUSB socket on your device in to two different connectors, enabling two functions to be performed simultaneously.
The YC A100 has the following highlights:
- Mini USB connector
(for charging or synching your HTC handset)
- ExtUSB connector
(Plug in an HTC stereo headset for music and calls)The YC A120 has the following highlights:
- Mini USB connector
(for charging or synching your HTC handset)
- 3.5 mm headphone connector
(Plug in 3.5mm stereo headphones (with a built-in microphone) for music and calls)
Aftermarket Accessories:
A 'Gel Skin' sold On eBay. It is available in many different styles and colors.
Also on eBay, a headset that is similar to the original one from HTC (see RC E100). The only difference is that the logo says dopod instead of HTC. The backside shows the HTC logo, so I assume dopod is manufacturing these headsets in order of HTC.
The quality is very sturdy. The keys feel good. I personally find the earbuds to big though (or I have small ears), so these will be changed.
All in all a good alternative for the (more expensive) original headset.
Below you can see a Slim Rubberized Case for the Tilt/ TyTN II, purchased on eBay for less than $10. They offer ample protection against scratches and have a great texture.

I was wondering if there is anywhere I can get an additional screen cover for my AT&T Tilt... that is the plastic film or sheet that came with the phone that u apply on the screen to protect it from damage and prevent it from being so sensitive when using the stylus. I have chked the AT&T & HTC websites to see if they offer this film or cover, but no go. Also, do you know of any good cases to use... the case I have now is leather and although it protects the phone from scratches and what not, it has open ends on the corners of the cover. And I have dropped my phone a few times on hard surfaces, and now I have a few nicks on the lower left hand corner of the device. Any guidance u could provide would be grt!
