Hi. I set up an email account on my Touch Dual, and now I can't delete it? When I hold down on the folder, the delete option is greyed and non-selectable. Please help.

I've now probably spent over $300 on accessories through 3rd party vendors recommended to me by HTC and all products ordered (battery and stylus) appear to be for a Touch or a Touch Dual sold in the UK, even though the vendors I ordered from specifically stated that it was for the Touch Dual (American). Mind-boggling to me how a phone can be sold without direct support from HTC who keeps telling me that they don't support the phone yet. In fact, the tecnician whom I just spoke with claims they've been given the UK version to help troubleshoot questions for the US. If I wanted a phone without a spare batter I would have purchased an iPhoney.
Does anyone have any recommendation on how to secure a stylus and additional styli?

Hi!
I am trying to find anything that would let me use my Dual as a GPRS modem for my notebook. Googling did not really give me much information on the subject: I saw a few apps (WModem, USB Modem and others) for other WM6 devices that would solve the problem but they did not work on my Dual. Using Active Sync driver is not really an option because I use Linux and hence need a "normal| serial port via USB or Bluetooth. A FAQ on Windows Mobile tells that manufacturers should supply this but sometime withhold it from their devices. Can anyone point me toward the app that would make a serial connection for my Dual? Thanks in advance

Hi, after 3 months of use, my HTC Touch Dual is suffering from a strange problem whereby when the keypad has been slided out for use, the touchscreen becomes non-responsive. This is an intermittent fault, and if i slide and close it a number of times after that, it tends to work again for a short period of time. The touchscreen works fine when the keypad has not been slid out. I have attempted Hard Reset, soft reset. has anyone else come across this problem? And If so is there a fix? Does it sound like a hardware or software issue?

I just got a US version of the HTC Dual Touch from Best Buy.
The problem I'm having is that in some applications, I cannot get the application to recognize the 20 key keyboard. What I mean is that it only registers numeric keys and the 1st letter of the other keys. So I can type 0-9, q, a, z, o, l, del, enter. I've tried holding down the SYM key to get it to switch to another text entry mode and it won't. The biggest problem I'm having is that my company uses Good Mobile Messaging. That means my email, calendar and address book are all served up through the Good suite of apps. And these apps won't recognize the keyboard properly. I've also noticed this same problem using both the Windows Live and Google Search home screen plugins. They won't recognize the keyboard either. Keyboard apps like TouchPal seem to work but I bought the dual to get the suretype keyboard. Any ideas? I've called HTC. They are "escalating" the issue but didn't have any good answers. But if I can't get the keyboard to work in Good, this thing will have to go back.

I can log in into my account and see my contacts online. They can see me too, but when they contact me i don't receive any message and the one who contacted me doesn't get any error alert. However if i send a message to a contact, i'm able to receive answers from it. Also if i close the chat and set msn on background, i still can be contacted... in the end i need to start a chat first and then that person can contact me when he wants until i log off.
This problem DOESN'T show up when i've the mobile connected to the pc via the usb cable, but only when i use internet with gprs/3g/edge Also if i close msn without logging off first, i'm still visible to my contacts and they can send me messages without receiving any kind of error. The same problem happens if i use Fring, another program which can i use to connect to msn. Any help? The only issue i can find on the net is the one in which you can't see other people, but i don't have this problem. |

Has anyone else had this issue? I got my dual last week, configured the connections and set up my yahoo and gmail accounts. At first, both accounts were updating fine. Now, neither will download new emails to my phone at all.
Whenever I go to menu>send/recieve, I always get the "error synchronizing" msg, which is weird because I can still access the internet/mms/sms just fine using the same connections. Does anyone have any ideas??

I'm having a real problem with the USB/Power connector on my Touch Dual. I have to get the power cord positioned "just right" or the phone won't charge. I have multiple power adapters and they all exhibit the same problem, so it's got to be the socket on the phone. Is it a common problem or have I just got a flaky phone?

I have the Dual Touch (Win Mob 6.0) and am having problems syncing with ActiveSync to my Windows XP PC (in the office). I can set up the connection OK and sync Email, Contacts etc all normally. There can be no problems for days, all will sync OK. Every few days however, the computer doesnt remember that I have synced the PC and phone already, and will try and set up a new connection i.e. it recognises that the phone has an existing connection and it tries to create a second (like its my home pc). As each phone can only sync one set of contacts, this second connection doesnt help and I need to delete the ActiveSync profile on my phone and reinstall ActiveSync on the PC to transfer my data again. I have tried turning off 'advanced network functionality' in the USB to PC connection but this doesnt solve anything Anyone have any ideas? Cheers Ben |

20 key, Windows 6.1 and still no way to turn off the annoying "internet pictures blocked"
I would have thought by now that Microsoft would have allowed a way that HTML email could be downloaded with all internet pictures without having the extra steps involved to get the pictures in the email. This is so frustrating. Is there anyway to work around this? |
