Hi. I set up an email account on my Touch Dual, and now I can't delete it? When I hold down on the folder, the delete option is greyed and non-selectable. Please help.

Hi, after 3 months of use, my HTC Touch Dual is suffering from a strange problem whereby when the keypad has been slided out for use, the touchscreen becomes non-responsive. This is an intermittent fault, and if i slide and close it a number of times after that, it tends to work again for a short period of time. The touchscreen works fine when the keypad has not been slid out. I have attempted Hard Reset, soft reset. has anyone else come across this problem? And If so is there a fix? Does it sound like a hardware or software issue?

I think it all started like this:
I was aligning the screen which i have been doing successfully. this particular day i was aligning it when i observed that it was hanging. I interrupt the operation by just switching it off and on again. what i observed then was that the screen could not be tapped again. it is now "Frozen". Right now, I cannot use the start button, i don't have access to my contacts. I have tried to reset and no change. Please what do you thing I can do. Could it be that the screen has gone bad.

My toiuch screen has died. I can replicate most functions with keyboard strokes, but I cannot figure out how to access the items on the bottom of the screen (sending text message, menus in internet explorer and most importantly the controls for the alarm clock) Does anyone know if there is a keyboard combination to access these menus or commands. On normal state, the lower right command is "contacts" or "menu" in ie. Any help is appreciated.
I bought the phone years ago and am moving in 3 months, so I just need to get through another 90 days before I decide to go with BBerry, I phone or another HTC. |

I don't know if anybody here is from South Africa, but when i use my MTN account ballance number for prepaid users (*141#) it use to work untill i tried to log into MXIT, after that it drops the connection that is set up ( not using a proxy server, no ISP login crodentials needed and server assigned IP ) My connection name is MTN SA Web ( as given by MTN ) Modem automaticaly set by ISP to Cellular Line ( GPRS, 3G ). Access point name is "internet". ive tried re-installing MXIT but every time i try to log in it gives me an error and then my connection stops functioning. i am using the smartfone version of MXIT and it did work the first time till my ballance got to zero. when I reload my connection settings everything works till i try to log into MXIT even after i reloaded with airtime. can anybody tell me why it would do that?

i use my HTC Touch Dual log in into my messenger account,
but why can't see my contacts online so tht front page will show out say ( O contacts online) and they oso don knws me hv online too? so tht i oso try to log in other messenger account frm my HTC Touch Dual too, is ok don gv any problem.. if i try to log in other PDA phone oso same problem > 0 contacts online< they oso can't see me online too.. kindly help me to find out what wrong with my pda or izzit any setting problem...

I'm wondering if anyone has found a solution to this very annoying problem.
For web browsing I need to use a proxy and enter it in the "Connections" setup. If I want to check emails, the proxy doesn't work so I need to go to Setup and uncheck the proxy option. Is there a way of allowing my Australian Touch Dual (Telstra) to use two different network access types; one with proxy selected for web browsing and a completely seperate connection with no proxy selected for checking emails? All of the solutions on the web just identify how to select and de-select the proxy server - not automatically connect with or without it! Thanks for any help you can offer. Sam.

Hello, I have had the touch dual for about weeks now and have no problems with it until today! When i switched it on this morning it came up with a strange block coloured screen much like when your computer crashes. I manages to get it working from this but now when i try to send a message it says 'phone is not ready wait 15 seconds and try again' and it has been doing this for an hour now, long past 15 seconds! Can anyone help?

Imagine i have the phone slide closed. The image is black, and i can touch everywhere with/without the pen, but the image just doesn't come up.
The only way to bring the image again is by pushing the slide up! how can i get the image to come up without having to push up the slider? thanks

I have somehow managed to switch on "screen saver" mode when my HTC Dual Touch is connected to my PC... This can get very annoying at times, and I wish to turn it back off, but I can't for the life of me remember how to do it...
Can anyone help me please, as I have scoured the manual and cannot find a solution.

i have tried all options that were suggested in various blogs. but i am unable to send emails through my corporate mail server. i have authenticated SMTP also tried giving port numbers next to mail server address. still does not work. i can receive emails though. Any help???

I've recently bought the new HTC Touch doul. I didn't find the Arabic Version, so I bought the English one. I was sure that I will find the Arabic Support online. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it till now. If anyone can help, I'll appreciate

Hi,
I am now getting a thin red line across the camera screen and my HTC touch dual - which then appears on any photos I take. I have tried a soft and hard re-set but it is still there. Any advice? Missusdoubleyou
