Communication from/to HTC Touch Device can be done using either of these

4 options which are also latest communication standards today. However
the interoperability between these communication options takes you to
different level of mobile communication.

1) GPRS/EDGE ( Wireless)
2) Bluetooth ( Wireless )
3) Wi-Fi ( Wireless )
4) USB ( Wired )

Let's tap each in brief so that we are able to make the best possible use of

1) GPRS/ EDGE :
This is the technology for packet data transfer over GSM networks and provided by your service operator. This starts once your sim is in your device. You can connect to internet through this device.


2) BLUETOOTH:
Bluetooth works wonders when used with Microsoft Activesync to sync your daily appointments, tasks, emails, calender etc.

We can even surf the internet through bluetooth. We can communicate with other bluetooth devices as well.

Bluetooth and Active sync together form a complete suite to communicate wirelessly, I have however removed wired desktops and have formed PAN of 4 desktops and my HTC Touch is controlling the personal area network of that adhoc network, wonderful.

If you feel you can connect HTC Touch to some external display to get perfect desktop screen.

Here BT supports various profiles like A2DP, Audio gateway, FTP, Active Sync etc.

3) WI-FI:
One more wireless monster, which gives you the liberty of internet access
near access points/hotspots.

It's very easy to securely connect to wi-fi and start browsing as if you are
browsing on your desktop itself.

Internet explorer makes surfing life more easier.

Security features are good, supports WEP and WPA both.

4) USB :
You can also surf the internet by using usb cable connected to your
Desktop by connection sharing.

Sync your HTC Touch with wired connectivity. Manage your device with
this wired communication option.

However specific queries can be answered separately, but having used
almost all the network stuff this device packs, it feels great to posess HTC
touch device, the world is at your fingertips.

Different network adapters are preinstalled like:
1) Bluetooth PAN adapter for PAN networks
2) Wired Network adapter
3) Wireless network adapter
4) NDIS Driver.

These adapters can be configured manually or leave them as they
are and they will pick up the automatic configuration from you
network. They are intelligent.

Moreover, HTC Touch acts as a modem whenever you need dial-up networking.
