my unit "shuts down' when pressing any button. in a dark room, you can still see that the screen is still on where you can see a black color on it. the screen is blank. and at this point if your press any button. randomly it will occasionally re-start or more often the re-start, vibrate and show the htc logo screen. to re-start in a new cycle, the battery has to be removed, then placed back in, and the start button pressed. this re-start on a 9 out of 10 times will not correct whats i just explained.
i even did a complete 'cold' or new re-boot to no avail. any incite on getting this unit to operate properly would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everybody,
I just purchased an S710 and I have a question. My office uses Lotus Notes for email and calendar. How can I syncronize my appointments to my cell phone? Anybody has the same situation? Thank in advance, Dan

Hello
I have a HTC S 710, and last week I noticed a problem... Its down key seems pressed... at times it goes on continuously down... without pressing the down key.. and at times the down key of the joystick is not working at all.... Is there any solution ??

I have just purchased Verizon's "new" HTC - 5800. I've been using PDANet on my Treo 700WX for a long time but am unable to get it to work with the new 5800. Does anyone else use PDANet?
(I keep getting "Fail to initialize your device error=39" Any ideas?

Just taken delivery of this phone, Audi MMI bluetooth car connection sees all call history, received and dialed calls but cannot access the contact list/phonebook. Any ideas?

Microsoft recently released Windows Mobile 6.1 ... I am under the impression based on their site that some of the existing Windows Mobile 6.0 phones can be updated/upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1. Is this the case and if so does the S710 support Mobile 6.1?

Does anyone have the problem on the s710 that after you watch youtube or vtap video on it, the home screen doesnt go black. It stays on. Mine stayed on all night and ate up a lot of battery. I have had to Hard reset everytime i watch videos on it. The screen goes dim but that's the way it stays.

I have just got a new HTC S710 with which I am very impressed. I have, however, certain bluetooth connection issues. Although the S710 connects flawlessly to a many of my bluetooth devices (several HP iPAQs, Lenovo ThinkPad X60s, Logitech bluetooth headset, etc) it seems not to find any of my Holux GPSs (M-1000, GR-231, GPSlim240) or the SuperTooth II bluetooth handsfree unit. I have made numerous attempts to try to "find" these devices with the Bluetooth Explorer, and have also turned the S710 and bluetooth devices in question on and off a couple of times but without any luck. Although I have used several WM 2003 and WM 5 PDAs without any real bluetooth issues in the past this is my first experience with WM6. Is this a WM6 issue? I have spent quite a bit of time searching for possible answers on the web and, although I did not find any solutions, it did look like some have experienced occasional bluetooth connectivity issuies with their WM6 smartphones. Any ideas please?

I bought my HTC S710 just 10 weeks ago, and my screen cracked while in my pocket!
Did anyone has such a problem? Is this problem common with this phone? Do you know if warranty is valid for this damage?

My phone periodically shuts down without no interaction from myself. I do notice sometimes when I slide the keyboard open or closed the phone shuts down. This is annoying! Does anybody else have this problem? Is there a fix?

Hi, i have the HTCS710 (VOX) with windows mobile 6, whhen i am surfing over the web(GPRS or WIFI) if I find any video or audio fiel with the streaming option if I make click on it, it opens windows media playe but after that i give me an error message, any suggestions?

Hi there, I've a bit of a problem at work. Or more of a challenge. We would like to have our workers to be able to buy a smartphone. We are running Lotus notes 7.0.1 on the server. Because the workers have to use their phone for at least 10% for working matters (for tax advantage), we want to provide them with the possibility to use a webbrowser to check their mail and callender. We've the oppertunity for the workers to check their mail and callander at home through webmail. We would like to provide them with something similair on their smartphone. The idea is to set some demands on the kind of smartphone they can buy. We were thinking of a smartphone with Windows Mobile 6 with Internet explorer and a working Internet connection. Can anyone help me?

Hi,
i'm wondering if anybody else has this problem... When I'm listening to some music over the (wired) headset and receive a text message, the music get's briefly output via the speakerphone while I get the SMS notification sound over the headset. After that the music switches back to the headset. This can get quite embarrassing when I'm at the bank waiting in line and listening to some "not safe for work" podcasts. Anybody else have problems with mulit-audio playback on their vox?

I am unable to change many of the today screen options. For instance, I want to change some settings in the START>SETIINGS>PERSONAL tab that windows mobile has. However, I don't get a PERSONAL tab coming up. Do different phone companies use different versions of Windows mobile or is there something I am missing?
